Defensive back Dillan Cazley (Charleston, Ill.) has become the first Class of 2013 commitment for Illinois, according to multiple sources.
Rivals.com reports that Kentucky and Purdue also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior. According to 247Sports, Boston College, Georgia Tech and Central Michigan were showing interest.
The versatile Cazley contributed in all phases of the game last season for Charleston. Offensively, he carried 25 times for 206 yards (8.2 average) and three touchdowns. Cazley was all over the field on defense registering 125 total tackles, two interceptions, 12 pass breakups and one fumble recovery. He also returned kicks and punts for over 600 yards and three more scores.
Dillan's younger brother, sophomore Josh, established himself as a key player for Charleston in 2011 when he rushed for 865 yards and 11 touchdowns and recorded 44 tackles and four sacks.
