Four-star wide receiver Dominic Walker (Orlando, Fla./Maynard Evans) chose the Commodores over Florida State and Texas A&M on Wednesday night.
The No. 222 player in the ESPN 300 told the Orlando Sentinel that Vanderbilt had everything he wanted in a college:
"The reason I committed to that school is that it's the best of both worlds. It's an academic school and it's also located in the SEC."
Walker, who had 618 receiving yards and six touchdowns as a junior, is now Vanderbilt's highest rated pledge for the Class of 2013.
The Commodores are on a roll of late, as they scored a commitment from four-star defensive end Landon Stokes Tuesday night.
