One year after making his initial pledge to Minnesota, defensive tackle Jordan Hinojoso informed Rivals.com that he still plans to play for the Golden Gophers.
Hinojoso announced for the Big Ten program last July as a two-star prospect out of Miami Central High School. However, an ACT Test score prevented him from inking with the Gophers.
Now at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, Hinojoso hopes to sign with Minnesota and join the team for the spring 2013 semester. He intends to suit up for Coffeyville in the fall and therefore will have four seasons to play three in the Big Ten.
Miami-FL and Penn State were among the other programs to come after Hinojoso during the 2013 recruiting cycle.
Minnesota now holds six verbals.
