WR J.J. Green talks UAB verbal

The Blazers recently gained a commitment from senior wide receiver J.J. Green (Florence, Ala.). He spoke with AL.com about his decision:

"I had an automatic bond with the UAB coaches and it felt like home," Green said. "It just felt right. [Receivers] coach [Ron] Sigler would call me every week saying, 'You ready to commit?' I didn't want to commit too early, but I gave it time and was looking online at campus information and it just felt right."

Duke, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Tech and Troy were among the other programs recruiting the 6-foot-2, 180-pound pass-catcher.

Two of Green's high school teammates, cornerbacks Jamaris Hart and Jordan Petty, are also committed to the Blazers.
