Scouts: Cyclones strike again in Florida

Iowa State has been active in the Sunshine State and they are enjoying some success on the recruiting trail down there with solid pick-ups like defensive lineman Ernest Suttles (Tampa, Fla./Gaither). Tuesday they landed their most significant verbal out of Florida as four-star offensive tackle prospect Shawn Curtis (Orlando, Fla./Olympia) committed.

He needs to keep filling out and developing his frame, but he is a promising kid who possesses good feet and he moves well for a big man. With further physical development he can be a well-rounded run blocker as well as a strong player in pass protection and we like the nasty finishing effort he plays with. Curtis may need a little time to further develop, but he is a nice pick-up for the Cyclones and has the tools to develop into a good starting tackle for them.
