East Mississippi Community College (Scooba, Miss.) defensive tackle Brandon Moore committed to Texas Wednesday, according to William Wilkerson of ESPN's HornsNation.com. He made an official visit to Austin, Texas November 19th.
“(Defensive tackles) Coach (Bo) Davis came in the office today and I committed,” Moore said. “I just feel real comfortable with him. I feel like he is the right person to get me to where I am trying to go. So that’s why I committed.”
Moore originally signed with Alabama in 2009 as a high three-star prospect out of Carver High School (Montgomery, Ala.). He was a member of the Crimson Tide's 2009 national title team before moving onto EMCC.
Florida and Miami-FL were among the other programs recruiting the 6-foot-7, 335-pound prospect. Moore has three years to play in Austin and is expected to enroll in January.
The Longhorns top-ranked recruiting class now has 23 verbals.
