UConn grabs Juco tight end

Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, Calif.) tight end J.D. Krill pledged Sunday to sign with the Huskies, multiple sources report.

Krill posted on his Twitter account, "Officially just committed to play football at the University of Connecticut. Go huskies! ... Lot of love being sent around. Can't wait to make it official with that signature on Wednesday #huskynation #BleedBlue #Huskies"

The decision comes after an official visit to Texas State. Krill, a 6-foot-5, 250-pounder, took an official to UConn for the weekend of Dec. 7th. Additionally, Ole Miss showed interest.

This fall, he caught 10 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown. Prior to Saddleback, Krill attended Aliso Niquel High School in Laguna Niquel, Calif.

He is commitment No. 19 for the Huskies, including their second from the junior college ranks.
