Big weekend haul for Western Kentucky

Coach Bobby Petrino and his staff have added several new commitments, according to multiple sources. The group includes Drew Davis (Madison, Ala./Bob Jones), Kylen Towner (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul's Episcopal), Demarcus Glover (Pensacola, Fla./Pine Forest), Nicholas Norris (Miami/Booker T. Washington), Leverick Jackson (Miami/Northwestern) and Jimmie Sims (New Orleans/McDonogh 35).

The Hilltoppers pulled Davis and Towner out of Alabama. Davis, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound linebacker, registered 165 tackles including 16 tackles for loss as a senior. Towner, a 5-foot-7, 170-pound corner, possesses a combine-verified 4.57 40 speed, a 4.38 20-yard shuttle, 35.3-inch vertical and 89.64 SPARQ.

Both Nicholas and Jackson are products of the fertile Miami recruiting grounds. The 5-foot-8, 150-pound Nicholas runs a 4.6 40 and selected WKU over an offer from Marshall. Jackson's a 6-foot, 190-pound safety.

Defensive end Demarcus Glover also hails from the Sunshine State. He was previously committed to Florida Atlantic.

Sims is a 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive tackle and Western Kentucky's only high school verbal from Louisiana for 2013.
