Senior offensive tackle Casey Tucker (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) was presented his honorary game jersey Friday at his school during the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game. The event was part of a three-month selection tour.
Tucker, the No. 38 prospect in the ESPN 300, is one of 90 players selected to compete in the seventh annual Under Armour All-America Game, a nationally televised game featuring the country’s top high school seniors. The game is set for 4 p.m. ET Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN.
"I decided to accept the invitation to the Under Armour All-America Game because I just wanted to get the opportunity to go to Florida and compete against the best of the best over there," Tucker said. “Just basically get all the practice I can and get ready for college. I’m looking forward to the practices and game, and just basically going against the best defensive end and D-tackles in the country so I can get the best practice I can before college football.”
For the latest nationally recruited offensive lineman out of Hamilton, being selected to the Under Armour All-America Game is a humbling experience.
"It's definitely a humbling experience considering I haven't gone to college and everything," Tucker said. "It’s a great blessing that I've gotten, and everything is so great about it. I'm very thankful for the opportunity."
The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Tucker is the No. 4 offensive tackle in the class. He is considering Arizona State, Texas A&M, Stanford, USC, Notre Dame and others.
