Two-star wide receiver Tajae Sharpe (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) decommitted from Kent State on Sunday and committed to the University of Massachusetts.
"It was an overall better fit," Sharpe said.
Sharpe chose Kent State earlier this month, but changed his mind after taking an official visit to UMass this weekend. UMass will elevate its program from the FCS ranks to the Mid-American Conference next season.
Sharpe also had offers from Pittsburgh, Akron, Delaware, James Madison, Temple, Towson and Villanova.
Sharpe said although most schools recruited him to play defensive back, UMass is bringing him in to play wide receiver.
