Malzahn grabs Under Armour All-American

New Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn netted a huge commitment over the weekend from four-star offensive lineman Michael Flint (Oxford, Ala.), the Anniston Star reports.

“He and I had the best relationship while I was committed to Auburn,” said the 6-foot-3, 297-pound Flint. “So it meant a lot for him to call me up. I wouldn’t have known anyone from Arkansas State if hadn’t been for him.”

Flint selected the Red Wolves over Wake Forest. Auburn, Arkansas, UCLA, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Kentucky, LSU, Oklhaoma State, Clemson, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi State, Iowa, Tennessee and Texas Tech offered him earlier in the process.

Oxford High school produced two other Under Armour All-American for 2012; ESPNU 150 outside linebacker Kwon Alexander and four-star safety / receiver Trae Elston. They are uncommitted at this time.
