Junior defensive tackle Deadrin Senat (Immokalee, Fla.) committed to sign with Florida State's Class of 2013 on Sunday, according to the Naples Daily News.
“I went up there for a game... and it was just a beautiful experience,” Senat said. “They played with class and I like that and I just got hooked.”
The 6-foot-1, 311-pound prospect actually grew up as a Miami fan, “I just felt like they didn’t really want me. If they really wanted me they would have showed me love like Florida State did. For them it’s a business and I understand that, but I still want to go somewhere where I feel loved.”
Georgia Tech, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Central Florida also extended scholarship offers. Florida, Georgia and Clemson showed interest.
Additionally, Senat still plans to take his official visits, “I’m going to do a lot of things,” he said. “I’ve never been through this before, so I’m going to go out and see what every place has to offer.”
Senat has posted some impressive combine figures for a big man including a 5.44 40-yard dash, 4.69 20-yard shuttle and 29.5-inch vertical.
Florida State now has four Class of 2013 pledges. All four are from the Sunshine State.
