R.J. Shelton ends the process

Junior running back R.J. Shelton (Beaver Dam, Wis.) pledged to sign with Michigan State over the weekend, multiple sources report. He posted on Twitter, "Proud to say I will be a MSU SPARTAN!!"

Minnesota, Iowa and the in-state Wisconsin Badgers also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect. Arkansas, Cincinnati and Oregon were showing interest.

He rushed for 2,048 yards and 34 touchdowns during his junior campaign.

Shelton is the fourth 2013 commitment for Michigan State and second running back to jump on board. Gerald Holmes (Flint, Mich./Carman-Ainsworth) picked the Spartans early this month.
