OG Rami Hammad makes the switch

Three-star offensive guard Rami Hammad (Irving, Texas) has decommitted from Oklahoma State and is now on board with Baylor, multiple sources report.

Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, Houston, Iowa, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico State, North Texas, Ole Miss, Rice, San Diego State, SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa and UTSA were his other offers.

The 6-foot-5, 314-pound senior also received interest from programs such as LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

ESPN says of Hammad, "This guy is a tough customer who shows a very nasty finishing effort once locking onto a defender. Hammad will need some time and a red shirt year to improve his athleticism and technical skills before competing for starting time at the BCS level of play."

The Bears now have 20 pledges while the Cowboys are down to 16. In ESPN's last class rankings update, Oklahoma State occupied the 24th spot and Baylor landed at No. 25.
