ESPN 150 linebacker Reuben Foster (Auburn, Ala./Auburn) cited reports of Auburn assistant coach Trooper Taylor’s firing as his reason for decommiting from the Tigers.
"I am decommitting from Auburn," Foster said. "I am opening up my recruitment because recruiting is all about relationships, and the person I've built a relationship with is no longer there."
Georgia and Washington are two schools the No. 24 prospect in the ESPN 150 has mentioned for potential official visits. The 6-foot-2, 242-pound inside linebacker also took an unofficial visit to LSU this fall. Foster says that he is open to any schools right now.
"I don't have it narrowed down right now," he said. "I'm going to weigh all my options and see what happens with all the coaching changes and then make the best decision for me."
Another factor in his final decision could be where Taylor ends up if he is indeed let go, as the two grew very close during the recruiting process. Foster stated earlier this week that if Auburn parts ways with Taylor, he plans to follow the coach wherever he ends up.
