Patriots who will make playoff debut

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In clinching their fifth-straight AFC East division title on Sunday, the New England Patriots will head for familiar territory in the postseason.

At least for some of the roster.

Of the 53 players on the active roster, 16 have never reached the postseason, which includes the rookie class (of course) and some key veteran contributors.

Below is a look at each player who, assuming they stay on the active roster, will reach the postseason as an active roster player for the first time in their careers:

WR Danny Amendola

OL Chris Barker*

LB Steve Beauharnais*

RB LeGarrette Blount

(Note: * = rookie)

QUICK-HIT THOUGHT: Of the 37 players who will be returning to the postseason for the Patriots, quarterback Tom Brady leads the way in terms of experience. This marks his 11th trip to the playoffs, all which came by way of an AFC East division crown.
