Perspective on Pats' draft needs

In a piece posted on Rotoworld.com, Evan Silva and Josh Norris provide a comprehensive look at the Patriots' needs and options to fill those needs on each day of the draft.

From a needs standpoint, the duo contends the Patriots should prioritize a tight end followed by a defensive tackle and then an interior offensive lineman.

Among those players suggested as first-round targets are Texas Tech tight end Jace Amaro, Minnesota defensive tackle Ra'Shede Hageman and USC center Marcus Martin.

From our view, the Patriots' top two needs right now are indeed adding a pass-catching tight end and depth along the interior of the defensive line.

Along the defensive line, one major consideration is the future of Vince Wilfork. Our belief is that even if Wilfork is retained, the Patriots need to beef up their depth.

One other need that we'd pass along is adding a depth-level safety. The team has Devin McCourty and Duron Harmon as returning defensive contributors at the position, but would be well-served to add another body to provide reserve contributions.
