Catching up with former Patriots, Week 8

Every Wednesday, we'll lead off the day with a look at some notable former Patriots and their production:

WR Kenbrell Thompkins (Raiders) -- Played 46 of 82 offensive snaps in a road loss to the Browns, finishing with four catches for 34 yards. He had a 15-yard, one-handed gem of a catch, and he added a 7-yard rush on an end-around.

CB Aqib Talib (Broncos) -- He played 58 of 62 defensive snaps in a home win over the Chargers on Thursday, finishing with seven tackles (one for a loss) and two passes defended. Talib has played 460 of 495 defensive snaps in seven games this season, with 10 passes defended and 28 tackles.

WR Wes Welker (Broncos) -- Played 53 of 68 offensive snaps in a home win over the Chargers, finishing with two catches for five yards. He has played 249 of 351 offensive snaps in his five games this season and has 19 catches for 181 yards.

LB Brandon Spikes (Bills) -- Played 29 of 84 snaps in a road win over the Jets, totaling two tackles. Has now played 290 of 568 defensive snaps this season.

RB LeGarrette Blount (Steelers) -- Carried six times for 21 yards, and added two catches for 11 yards, in a home victory over the Colts while playing 18 of 83 offensive snaps. He now has 50 carries for 244 yards this season.

G Logan Mankins (Buccaneers) -- Started and played all 60 offensive snaps in an overtime home loss to the Vikings.

LB Dane Fletcher (Buccaneers) -- Didn't play on defense while logging 24 special teams snaps in an overtime home loss to the Vikings, and was credited with two tackles.

TE Benjamin Watson (Saints) -- He played 40 of 68 offensive snaps in a home win over the Packers, but didn't register on the stat sheet. Watson has now played 237 of 510 offensive snaps and has 10 catches for 67 yards this season.

CB Darius Butler (Colts) -- Returned after missing two games due to injury and played 72 of 83 snaps in a road loss to the Steelers, totaling seven tackles and one forced fumble. He has played 268 of 504 defensive snaps and has 23 tackles and three passes defended this season.

C Rich Ohrnberger (Chargers) -- The 2009 Patriots fourth-round pick started at center in a road loss to the Broncos and played all 62 offensive snaps.

G Ted Larsen (Cardinals) -- The 2010 sixth-round draft pick started at left guard for the seventh straight game and played every snap in a home win over the Eagles.

DL Tommy Kelly (Cardinals) -- He played 62 of 92 defensive snaps in a home win over the Eagles and finished with three tackles (one for a loss) and one quarterback hit. Kelly has now played 353 of 482 defensive snaps over six games.

CB Sterling Moore (Cowboys) -- The nickel cornerback played 50 of 67 defensive snaps in a home loss to the Redskins on Monday night.

QB Brian Hoyer (Browns) -- Finished 19 of 28 for 275 yards and one touchdown in a home win over the Raiders, helping the Browns improve to 4-3.

WR Brandon Lloyd (49ers) -- Bye week. He now has 10 catches for 252 yards and one touchdown this season.

WR Greg Salas (Jets) -- Inactive due to injury in a home loss to the Bills. He has played in 193 of 569 snaps this season and has eight catches for 167 yards.

TE Zach Sudfeld (Jets) -- Played five of 84 offensive snaps in a home loss to the Bills. He didn't register on the stat sheet and now played in 44 of 569 offensive snaps this season.

QB Ryan Mallett (Texans) -- He served as the No. 2 quarterback behind Ryan Fitzpatrick in a road win over the Titans and did not play.

LB Jeff Tarpinian (Texans) -- Inactive in a road win over the Titans due to a knee injury.

TE Daniel Fells (Giants) -- Bye week. He has played 151 of 479 offensive snaps this season.

CB Jemea Thomas (Rams) -- The 2014 sixth-round draft choice out of Georgia Tech was promoted from the practice squad and made his NFL debut, playing six special-teams snaps in a road loss to the Chiefs.
