FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels interviewed for head-coaching jobs with the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers on Friday and Saturday, respectively, and he was asked about how they went during his weekly conference call.
“They were fine. It’s part of the process," he said Monday morning. "Obviously it’s a privilege when anyone wants to speak with you about anything like that. At this point, I’ve moved on and hopefully can help us put together a great plan for our guys heading into this week.”
Asked if "moving on" meant he was still leaving the door open in the future or if that meant he was taking his name out of consideration, McDaniels said: "I just had an initial meeting with them and it hasn’t really gone any further in either direction. So, again, I’m back to focusing on the next task at hand for us, which is the Ravens. I’m sure they’ll do what they need to do on their end. I’m sure those things will take care of themselves in the future.”
