FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been selected by Nickelodeon to host a television show this year, the network announced Wednesday. Gronkowski will host "Crashletes", which will introduce popular clips of sports action.
In addition to Gronkowski, Carolina Panthers quarterback and 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton will also host a show on the network, called "All In." That show will take children on dream-fulfilling journeys, the Associated Press reports.
According to the AP, the shows with Gronkowski and Newton are part of Nickelodeon's "shift away from a heavy emphasis in animation to different formats, including a focus on real kids" in hopes of increased ratings.
