FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots officially ruled out reserve safety Jordan Richards for Sunday's home game against the Los Angeles Rams, while listing nine other players as questionable.
Richards, a 2015 second-round draft choice from Stanford, makes his primary contributions on special teams. He injured his knee in the first quarter of Sunday's 22-17 win over the New York Jets while covering a punt, but returned to the game.
Meanwhile, safety Nate Ebner -- who leads the team with 12 special teams tackles -- is one of nine questionable players. He missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a concussion before returning on a limited basis Friday.
Special teams captain Matthew Slater (foot), rookie defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton (illness), defensive end Trey Flowers (shin) and linebacker Elandon Roberts (jaw) are the other questionable players.
