Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Patrick Chung all limited in return

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returned to practice Thursday after missing a rainy workout the day prior due to an Achilles injury, and was limited in his workload according to the team's participation report.

Meanwhile, tight end Rob Gronkowski (illness) and safety Patrick Chung (ankle) also returned on a limited basis after missing Wednesday's practice.

As for Brady, whose injury isn't expected to affect his availability for Sunday's home game against the Dolphins, teammates hardly blinked at his absence from Wednesday's practice.

"In my time here he’s never missed a game so you don’t even think about it. Maybe it’s just a day off, you know? It’s not like it affects him," safety/captain Devin McCourty said.

Center David Andrews (illness), receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder) and right tackle Marcus Cannon (ankle) remained out of practice, while tight end Martellus Bennett (shoulder/hamstring) was held out of practice and being limited Wednesday.

Special-teams captain Matthew Slater (hamstring), cornerback Eric Rowe (groin) and defensive tackle Malcom Brown (ankle) were among those limited at practice.
