Hightower to visit with Giants

The Giants continue to scour the market for bargains as they'll bring in Tim Hightower for a visit.

A source confirmed that the former Redskins and Cardinals running back will meet with the Giants as first reported by the New York Daily News.

Hightower hasn't played in a regular-season game since Oct. 23, 2011 after tearing his ACL.

The Giants will take a look to see how his knee has healed and if he can compete for perhaps the third running back spot behind David Wilson and Andre Brown. The Giants currently have Da'Rel Scott and Ryan Torain behind their top two backs.

Hightower, 26, has scored a total of 25 touchdowns in his four-year career. He has rushed for 2,054 yards and 24 touchdowns and is a receiving threat out of the backfield. He had 63 receptions in 2009 with the Cardinals.

Bradshaw and Hixon looking: Ahmad Bradshaw was scheduled to visit with the Steelers on Wednesday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported.

Wide receiver Domenik Hixon, a free agent, was scheduled to visit with the Raiders according to CBS Sports.
