Injury report: Pugh watches practice

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Justin Pugh was a bystander at practice today and that's a good sign.

The first-round pick was not seen on the field Friday or Saturday due to concussion symptoms. Pugh suffered the concussion on Thursday. But on Sunday, Pugh was standing and watching on the field. And coming out to watch has to be a step in the right direction.

"Yeah, he felt a little better," Tom Coughlin said. "Felt a little better. He came out and just really observed. Hopefully he will come along."

The Giants will make sure Pugh follows the head injury protocol before he is allowed to resume practicing.

With the team off Monday from practice, WR Hakeem Nicks (groin) and CB Corey Webster (groin) sat out another practice to rest their injuries. The hope is for Nicks to practice on Tuesday.

PUP list players DE Jason Pierre-Paul, FB Henry Hynoski, CB Terrell Thomas, DT Markus Kuhn and OL Chris Snee all did not practice as well.
