Injury report: Santonio Holmes sits out

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot) did not practice Thursday, but it was a scheduled day off, according to head coach Rex Ryan.

Holmes still has not said that he's definitely going to play in the opener against Tampa Bay, although the indications are he will be available.

The veteran has not played since suffering a Lisfranc fracture on Sept. 30, 2012. He had a limited practice on Wednesday before missing Thursday.
