Practice report: Mike Goodson rides bike

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Running back Mike Goodson started practice on the field Friday but didn't stay there. About 15 minutes in, Goodson consulted with a trainer and was taken over to the rehab area, where he rode a stationary bike.

Goodson has just finished a four-game suspension and was practicing with the Jets for the first time since being acquired in the offseason. Friday was his third practice with the team.

Coach Rex Ryan will give his press conference during the afternoon and will be asked about any injury to Goodson. RB Chris Ivory (hamstring) appeared to practice more, taking part in individual drills during the portion of practice open to the media.

The Jets play Monday night in Atlanta, giving players an extra day to rehabilitate before the final injury report Saturday.

CB Dee Milliner (hamstring) was also on the bike although he was not in uniform. Ryan said Thursday it would be hard for Milliner to play if he didn't practice. The rookie's appearance on the bike makes it less likely he will be ready for the Falcons.

One positive development for the Jets: WR Stephen Hill was on the field in a red jersey and appeared to take part in individual drills. It was the first time since his concussion that he did anything more than rehab.

WR Santonio Holmes (hamstring/foot) was not at practice.

QB Mark Sanchez appeared by the bikes at about the same time Goodson went over. Sanchez, on the IR but as the designated to return player, hasn't been present at many recent practices.
