NEW YORK -- Robert Diaz, one of Golden Boy's matchmakers, attended Thursday's press conference before Saturday's main event at Barclays Center and said he knows full well that some folks, some with sharp boxing minds, expect Paul Malignaggi to get rubbed out, harshly, by young gun Adrien Broner.
"Paulie, when his back is to the wall, puts on a good fight," said Diaz, who worked as an advisor to Marco Antonio Barrera before joining Golden Boy in 2007. "Broner is jumping up two divisions. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight went either way. It's going to be a fun fight to see. A lot of people think it will be a blowout, I don't."
