Bulls center Joakim Noah will start and play about 20-25 minutes in Game 2 on Monday night, according to Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau.
Noah, who is suffering from plantar fascitis in his right foot, played just 13 minutes in Game 1, scoring four points while hauling in five rebounds in a 106-89 loss.
The 6-foot-11 center is a crucial part of Chicago's interior defense, and with him ailing, Brooklyn took advantage Saturday. Center Brook Lopez scored 21 points as the Nets dominated the Bulls from start to finish.
Noah last played more than 20 minutes on April 7 against Detroit. Including the final two regular season games, Noah has not played more than 14 minutes in the Bulls' last three games.
In Game 1, Bulls' reserve center Nazr Mohammed played six minutes, while forward Taj Gibson added 23. Gibson had nine points and seven rebounds but picked up four fouls. Mohammed had just two rebounds.
