Source: Nets interested in Kyle Korver

NEW YORK -- The Brooklyn Nets have interest in free-agent sharpshooter Kyle Korver, a source told ESPNNewYork.com.

Korver, 32, would give the Nets the shooting off the bench they covet, in light of the blockbuster trade they agreed to in principle with the Boston Celtics on Thursday night. He shot 45.7 percent from 3-point range last season and is a career 41.9 percent shooter from beyond the arc.

When Nets GM Billy King was with the Philadelphia 76ers, he acquired Korver on draft night in 2003. Korver was actually selected the Nets in the second round of the 2003 draft before King traded for his rights.

Korver is also a friend of Nets point guard Deron Williams from their Utah Jazz days.
