Nets officially get Garnett, Pierce, Terry

The Brooklyn Nets officially acquired Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry from the Boston Celtics on Friday, both teams announced.

Garnett, Pierce and Terry will be introduced at Barclays Center during a Thursday news conference.

The Nets are slated to have a payroll of about $101 million next season and a projected NBA-record luxury tax bill of around $83 million, according to a league source.

Garnett will wear jersey No. 2 with the Nets, while Pierce will wear No. 34 and Terry will wear No. 31.
