By The Numbers: Nets' starting salaries

The Brooklyn Nets' starting five will make a combined $81.5 million this season -- more than the entire roster of 26 of the other 29 NBA teams, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

The salaries of their starters, per HoopsHype.com:

Joe Johnson: $21.5 million

Deron Williams: $18.5 million

Paul Pierce: $15.3 million

Brook Lopez: $14.7 million

Kevin Garnett: $11.5 million

The only teams with a higher payroll than the Nets’ starting five? Miami ($85.9 million), Chicago ($83.3 million) and the Lakers ($83.1 million).

Based on these numbers, Brooklyn’s projected luxury tax bill of $87 million -- on an estimated $102 million payroll -- is higher than every other team’s payroll in the league.
