ESPN roundup: Bad news for Brooklyn

A couple of excellent Brooklyn Nets pieces on our site by two colleagues:

1. True Hoop’s Beckley Mason writes that the Nets’ brand has been far mightier than the Nets themselves.

“Two years into its residency on Flatbush Avenue, the Nets may have a stronger identity on the national landscape than they do in Brooklyn.”

Read it here.

2. NBA Insider Amin Elhassan breaks down the future for both the Nets and Knicks. Suffice to say, it isn’t good. Elhassan gets into how the Nets mortgaged future assets to win now -- and it obviously hasn’t worked out.

Read it here (Insiders only).
