The Nets will attempt to sweep the regular-season series against Miami without Kevin Garnett.
Jason Kidd told reporters at practice in Miami that the plan is to rest Garnett against Miami on Tuesday night, according to the New York Post. Garnett will be available to play at Orlando on Wednesday night.
Garnett returned from a 19-game absence due to back spasms on Saturday at Philadelphia. Garnett scored 10 points, making 5-of-6 shots in 13 minutes.
Kidd will slowly bring Garnett back to get him ready for the postseason and may elect to start resting some of his other veterans before the playoffs begin.
