The Nets aren’t waiting until training camp to get started.
Several players -- including Deron Williams and Brook Lopez -- participated in informal workouts Monday at the team’s training facility in East Rutherford, N.J. Williams posted a photo of the workout on Twitter.
Tweeted PR man Gary Sussman: “Informal workouts at PNY today...most rotation players I can recall this early in September...#hello brooklyn”
Nets training camp begins in October.
MarShon Brooks, who also appears to be participating in Monday’s workout -- is leaving on Tuesday for Russia as part of the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program. There, he’ll help run a week-long camp for 50 of Europe’s top teenage prospects.
“I’m excited, looking forward to going to Moscow with (my agent) Seth (Cohen) and representing Nets Nation in our owner’s home country,” Brooks told the New York Post.
