Williams third among guards in All-Star vote

The NBA announced on Thursday that Brooklyn's Deron Williams, who said earlier this week that he has yet to play a good game this season, is third among guards in voting for the Eastern Conference All-Star team, behind Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade. Raymond Felton is seventh among guards.

In an new voting wrinkle this season, voters select three frontcourt players and two guards from each conference. Previously, the ballot featured three positions with fans picking two guards, two forwards and a center. Fans vote for the starters in the All Star game. Coaches vote on the All-Star reserves.

Balloting will conclude on Jan. 14, and starters will be announced live on TNT on Jan. 17.
