Brooklyn Nets power forward Kris Humphries will be inactive for a fourth consecutive game on Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a mild abdominal strain.
Nets interim head coach P.J. Carlesimo doesn’t believe the injury is serious, though.
“(Trainer Tim Walsh) and [Humphries} both keep saying like if it’s not today, it’ll be tomorrow,” Carlesimo said. “I think it’s gonna be a couple of days, so no. They both seem confident that it’s very short-term, and when he comes back, he’s gonna be able to go, not that this is gonna linger.
“Probably his first practice will hopefully be in San Antonio New Year’s day, but we’ll see.”
Forward Josh Childress is also inactive. Forward Tornike Shengelia, who was inactive Friday due to flu-like symptoms, is active.
