P.J. talks Prokhorov; D-Will active

Nets GM Billy King said he’ll discuss interim coach P.J. Carlesimo’s future with owner Mikhail Prokhorov in the coming days, but Carlesimo doesn’t expect to talk with the Russian billionaire himself.

“I mean again, from the beginning, he’s just made me feel very comfortable and said go coach the team and that’s fine,” Carlesimo said Wednesday.

“I don’t think he’s coming in to see me,” Carlesimo joked. “Matter of fact, I think us playing Miami and Chicago had something to do with it. Two pretty good games to come in and see the team. The fact that I’m here is nice, but I don’t think he was sitting in Moscow and thinking I gotta go see P.J. I think he came to see his Nets and I think he came to see the Heat and Chicago.

King told NBA.com Monday that he doesn’t expect to make any firm decision on Carlesimo’s future, but continues to evaluate things. Carlesimo is 13-4 since taking over for Avery Johnson.

• Nets point guard Deron Williams (flu-like symptoms) is active. Carlesimo is unsure how much Williams will play.
