W2W4: Nets at Pistons

And so it begins. The Nets tip off their eight-game, 17-day road trip in Detroit on Monday night. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.; here's what we'll be watching for:

REGAINING THEIR FOCUS: The Nets (38-28) played terribly in Sunday night's 105-93 loss, committing 16 turnovers while allowing the Atlanta Hawks to shoot 52.4 percent from the field. Even though the Pistons (23-45) have lost eight straight, the Nets can't afford to be careless with the ball and miss layups as they did against the Hawks.

TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS: The Nets are 22-4 against sub-.500 teams. They're 2-0 against the Pistons this season, though those two wins have come by a combined five points.

ISO JOE: Joe Johnson returned to the lineup and scored 18 points in 38 minutes Sunday after missing Tuesday night's game due to a sore left heel. How will he fare healthwise in the second game of a back-to-back?

BOOKKEEPING: The Nets again assigned Tornike Shengelia and Tyshawn Taylor to their D-League affiliate in Springfield.
