Bogans (ankle) sidelined vs. Pistons

Brooklyn Nets guard Keith Bogans will miss Monday night’s game against the Detroit Pistons due to a sore left ankle, the team announced.

Bogans, 32, has been a key reserve for the Nets this season. In 62 games, he’s averaging 4.3 points and shooting 36.4 percent from 3-point range.

Bogans’ injury could open the door for Jerry Stackhouse, who has not played since Jan. 26. MarShon Brooks could be another candidate for increased playing time in place of Bogans, but he’s logged four or fewer minutes in three of the team’s last four games.

The Nets also said power forward Kris Humphries will be out due to a tight lower back.

Humprhies has not played the last six games, though Nets interim coach P.J. Carlesimo said recently he’d like to give the 28-year-old a chance “sooner rather than later.” Granted, Carlesimo did not have a timetable on when that would occur.
