Former St. John's star Dwight Hardy scored a tournament postseason-record 57 points on Friday at the Hoops In The Sun tournament in the Bronx.
Hardy had 39 in the first half, 25 of which came in the second quarter.
In all, he knocked down 11 3-pointers to lead Team R2K to a 109-108 win over Team 914 in the first round of the playoffs.
The previous playoff scoring record at Hoops In The Sun is 50 points, reached by John Strickland in the 2004 title game.
Hardy then added 35 more in R2K's 103-100 win over DDN/Sean Bell All-Stars in Saturday's semifinal.
Hardy, who averaged 18 points per game to lead St. John's to the NCAA Tournament, has been all over the New York City summer streetball circuit with Team R2K and others.
The 6-2 shooting guard will soon head to Italy to begin his pro career. Earlier this month, Hardy signed a contract with Pistoia Basket, which is based in the Tuscany region of Italy, about 30 minutes outside of Florence.
