Kyle Williams has been there before.
In his final season at Arizona State, 2009, Williams muffed a punt that cost his team the game -- and the circumstances were eerily similar to the NFC Championship Game. Check it out:
In college, facing arch rival Arizona, Williams' muff occurred at his own 22-yard line with 1:10 remaining in the fourth quarter. Against the Giants, he fumbled on a punt return at his 24-yard line in overtime.
In college, the muff was recovered by Arizona, which ran four plays and kicked a 32-yard field goal as time expired. On Sunday night, the Giants ran four plays (plus a penalty) and kicked a 31-yard field goal to end the game.
In college, the score was 20-17. On Sunday night, the score was 20-17.
That's kind of spooky, isn't it?
