The Giants have made some steady moves this week, strengthening their depth in the secondary and landing their top tight end target.
But they could be saying good bye soon to Mario Manningham and Aaron Ross. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Manningham visited San Francisco and left without a deal on Thursday. Then Manningham went to St. Louis according to reports.
Ross was in Cincinnati on Thursday and is scheduled to visit with the Redskins on Friday. Both Manningham and Ross are looking for nice deals and starting gigs -- two things the Giants can't offer. Also, former Giants tight end Kevin Boss, a player many fans would have liked to have seen return, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
In case you missed it yesterday, the Giants signed former Redskins safety Chris Horton and had Cowboys wide receiver Kevin Ogletree in for a visit. Also, there was some Twitter beef between former Giants Jeremy Shockey and Amani Toomer.
And if you wonder what Marvin Austin has been doing besides rehabbing vigorously and itching to play football, here's a look at last year's second-round pick who should be a nice addition to the defensive tackle rotation this season.
