New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin said that TE Kevin Boss did suffer a concussion last season.
The Giants said Boss suffered it last year on Thanksgiving night at Denver but was cleared to play by the following Wednesday for the ensuing game.
Boss absorbed two major hits during the San Diego and Arizona games but the team said Boss did not suffer a concussion during either game.
The tight end was hit from behind on the head on an overthrown pass by Eli Manning and had to leave the field on a cart. Boss will undergo a series of tests before he is cleared to play. His availability for Sunday night's game against Indianapolis is in doubt.
