The final preseason game against the Patriots is Wednesday night. This is a final chance for bubble players to impress the coaching staff. With the Giants cutting their roster down from 75 to 53 on Friday, let's take a look at the offense, position-by-position, and who might stay or go.
I'll take my stab at who I think will make it and who's on the bubble. Of course, some big individual performances and injuries could always change things. I'll tackle defense and special teams tomorrow.
Tell us who you want to keep and cut below in the comments section.
On the bubble: Ryan Perrilloux.
My projection: Barring an unforeseen trade or signing a free agent backup, the Giants are pretty much set here with Eli and Carr. Perrilloux could live on the practice squad again.
My projection: I think the Giants keep four or five running backs including FB Hynoski. And if I had to guess right now as of Tuesday afternoon, my projected Giants RBs are Bradshaw, Wilson, Brown, Scott and Hynoski.
I think the Giants like Ware's abilities to catch and trust him to protect Manning on third downs. But in a very, very close competition, I have Brown sticking because of his ability to run with power and catch, and Scott making the team after his blocked punt and special teams ability to go along with his potential at RB. Performances or injuries during Wednesday's game could impact the decision making on Ware, Brown and Scott.
My projection: Keeping in mind other positions like linebacker and defensive line and the numbers there, I have the Giants keeping six WRs with Jernigan and Barden as the last two receivers on the roster. Barden seemed to solidify a roster spot with his performance against Chicago last weekend. Jernigan has third-round pedigree and I still think the Giants envision him as someone who should contribute on special teams eventually.

David DouglasDouglas is a dark horse with his ability to return as well. Stanback and DePalma have been impressive in camp, too, and any of those three could contribute if they make the roster. Douglas and DePalma could end up on the practice squad. If Douglas has another good outing at WR and PR, he'll make things tough on the Giants when decision time comes around. I can see Douglas being the seventh WR if they keep that many.
My projection: Pascoe and Bennett are cemented in as the starters. Robinson is still really raw and won't play but putting him on the practice squad might be risky because someone could snatch him up. So I have the Giants keeping three TEs with Robinson making it. Donnell has flashed in camp and would make a nice backup but could end up on the practice squad. I could see the Giants keeping just two tight ends on the final 53 as well, though.
My projection: I have the Giants keeping eight offensive linemen. Injuries, though, could affect the decision. We are assuming Beatty and Brewer are going to be healthy.
The Giants like Cordle, but Boothe can play backup center if need be and Locklear and Brewer are a must with Beatty's back an issue that could flare up at any point. McCants, who could end up on the practice squad, has had some moments in camp but Petrus showed last season what he could do when asked to come in.
So, what are you guys thinking?
