Injury report: Coe joins inactives

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Giants have added cornerback Michael Coe to their inactive list for Thursday's game.

Coe joins wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot), right tackle David Diehl (knee), running back Ahmad Bradshaw (neck), wide receiver Domenik Hixon (concussion), defensive end Adewale Ojomo (hamstring) and tight end Adrien Robinson.

Ramses Barden will start for Nicks. Andre Brown will start for Bradshaw. Both of those moves were expected.

Coe's hamstring has been an issue, and playing two games in five days was likely too much for him. Like Nicks and Bradshaw, Coe will now have two weeks of rest before the Giants' next game, against the Eagles on Sept. 30.

With Coe out, Prince Amukamara will have to step up in his season debut. The Giants will start Jayron Hosley at cornerback opposite Corey Webster. Justin Tryon should be the fourth cornerback.
