Injury report: Boley sits with hip issue

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants' injury report is loaded with players this week.

Eight Giants did not practice. Here's the complete rundown of injuries leading with Ramses Barden's concussion.

S Tyler Sash also returned to practice and the Giants have until Saturday to decide if they want him to play Sunday against Cleveland or wait until Monday to make a roster move.

Below is the injury report with a quick breakdown on the injuries:

C David Baas (hand): Baas' right hand is still swollen but he says he will practice on Thursday and play on Sunday.

WR Ramses Barden (concussion): Barden told coach Tom Coughlin that he believes he absorbed a blow to the back of his head on one of the plays on the Giants' final drive in the 19-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday night. He must follow head-injury protocol now and be cleared.

DT Rocky Bernard (quadriceps): Bernard would not discuss his injury with reporters. He's a key contributor. Bernard and Linval Joseph play the majority of snaps at DT against the run.

LB Michael Boley (hip): Boley said his hip issue has been around for a bit and he was resting it. He hopes to practice this week.

WR Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee): "I think it is a little bit (swollen), but not so as to inhibit him when he walks," Coughlin said when asked if the swelling in Nicks' knee has gone down since last week. "He looks pretty good walking."

S Kenny Phillips (knee): Could be out for a few weeks with MCL injury.

G Chris Snee (hip): Team's best offensive lineman plays through a lot of injuries. Let's see how he is feeling the next two days.

CB Corey Webster (hand): Could just be a day off since he has played two straight games with a broken bone in his hand.

T David Diehl (knee): Listed as limited for first time since injuring MCL on Sept. 16 against Tampa Bay. Good sign.

CB Jayron Hosley (hamstring): Limited practice means he is getting better.

LB Keith Rivers (hamstring): Limited is a good sign but this hamstring injury has been tricky.

S Antrel Rolle (knee): "Trel" is going to play through whatever is bothering him. He played all 69 defensive snaps last Sunday night.

CB Michael Coe (hamstring): Very good sign. Giants need healthy bodies in the secondary.
