O'Hara likely out against Bears

Giants C Shaun O’Hara (ankle/Achillies) did not participate in the portion of Friday’s practice open to the media. O’Hara sat out of last week's loss to Tennessee and hasn't practiced in two weeks due to an injured left ankle and left Achillies.

Tom Coughlin hasn’t made it official yet, but it’s a virtual certainly that O’Hara will be out for the Giants' Sunday night game against the Chicago Bears.

Backup OL Adam Koets started in place of O’Hara against the Titans and is likely to do the same against Chicago. O’Hara initially injured his ankle/Achillies in the preseason.

LB Keith Bulluck (turf toe) returned to practice but did not do much during the portion of practice open to the media. Bulluck tried to practice on Thursday but removed himself after only a few plays because he was concerned that he would further aggravate the injury. He injured the toe on the third play of the Giants’ 29-10 loss to the Titans last Sunday.

DT Rocky Bernard (back) returned to practice after sitting out the past two days. He was on the sideline with the defensive lineman but did not participate in on-field drills during the portion of practice open to the media.

Lastly, Mario Manningham practiced for the second straight day on Friday. The Giants wideout sat out of Wednesday's practice after suffering a concussion late in the game against Tennessee. Manningham underwent tests on Wednesday and Thursday and said after Thursday’s practice that he will be on the field on Sunday night against Chicago.
