Injury report: Nicks feels good after return

SAN FRANCISCO -- Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks might not have had his normal burst and explosion, but the positive feeling of being back on the field numbed any pain he might've felt.

Nicks played for the first time since Sept. 16 and finished with three catches for 44 yards.

"I feel good," Nicks said. "I know it will get better as weeks go on. I didn't expect to come out here and be great, great my first game back, but I know it will get better by next week and week after that and it just takes time."

Nicks admits he lacked his normal burst and separation. But he did haul in a 26-yard reception. The key will be to see how he feels over the next few days. If his knee doesn't swell and his surgically repaired foot feels fine -- two injuries that kept him out of three games -- then he should be able to practice at least once this week.

"It wasn't feeling great," Nicks admitted. "But when I am playing I don't think about pain. I just think about playing."

Bradshaw needs IV: Ahmad Bradshaw left the game with a few minutes remaining to get an IV for cramping. The running back rushed for 116 yards on 27 carries against San Francisco's physical defense.

"I was just cramping up," Bradshaw said. "I'm fine."
