C Shaun O’Hara is now in a protective walking boot on his right foot and he could miss Sunday's game at Seattle.
O'Hara did not practice with a mild Lisfranc injury in his right foot, according to a league source. O'Hara suffered the injury during last Monday's win over Dallas and is considered week-to-week. O'Hara had missed three games earlier this season with a chronic condition in his left ankle and was in a walking boot on his left foot.
Head coach Tom Coughlin said he was told it was "mild." When asked if it is related a Lisfranc sprain -- which can keep a player out indefinitely in some cases -- Coughlin said, “No, I am not using that word.”
But a source did say it is a mild Lisfranc injury. Both Justin Tuck and Michael Strahan have had Lisfranc injuries in the past.
CB Bruce Johnson is out after having his knee scoped, according to Coughlin. The head coach stopped short of ruling Johnson out for the year.
T William Beatty, who had surgery on his foot after the season opener, was on the field and did some light work.
FB Madison Hedgecock, who has missed three straight games with a hamstring injury, was on the field and did some work as well. TE Bear Pascoe has started in his place and done well.
CB Will Blackmon appears to be the new Giants return man. Blackmon, who was signed last week when Mathias Kiwanuka was placed on injured reserve, fielded punts while Darius Reynaud worked in individual drills on the side with a few other special teams’ players.
