Giants pay tribute to wounded warriors

On Veterans Day, the Giants did their best to honor those who serve around the globe by allowing 23 of them inside the Giants' practice facility, where they watched practice and met with the players.

"It’s an honor for us to have 23 wounded warriors with us today," Tom Coughlin said. "And we felt very good about this. We wanted to extend a hearty welcome to them and tell them from the New York Giants that we are honored that they are here and we thank them for their service to the country and the incredible sacrifices that they make for all of us.

"We got a chance to express that over here and each guy shook hands with each soldier, male and female and bring them inside and have lunch with them. We did want to take time today on Veterans Day. The message should go forth to all Americans that it's an opportunity for us to recognize our warriors, be it the wounded warriors or our veterans. We need to take time, slow down a little bit and say thank you and make sure they realize how much they mean to all of us."
